Anthony Medina is a native of San Diego and has been part of the local soccer scene here in town his entire youth and majority of his professional playing career.  After spending a decade playing for the San Diego Sockers he is now passionate about giving back to the help developing the next generation of youth players. Anthony has been involved with coaching with the Cardiff Mustangs and Cardiff Sockers and Marine Corp Recruiting Depot League since 2008.

After playing college soccer at the University of San Francisco he went all to play professionally outdoor for Syracuse F.C. of the A-League .  He has also been a part of four championships with the Sockers, playing over 120 games under his cleats in the MASL and its predecessor league, the Professional Arena Soccer League, with 85 goals and 55 assists (140 points) to his credit. Known as the “Ironman,” he was the only Sockers player to appear in all 48 games of the team’s United States professional team sports record winning streak that ended in January 2013.
